Mr & Mrs White Corfu Couples Retreat is located in the picturesque village of Acharavi Corfu, approximately 37km from Corfu Town and 35 km from Corfu’s International airport “Ioannis Kapodistrias”.
It is 600 meters from the closest beach Acharavi , a sandy 8 mile beach.
Acharavi belongs to the community of Agios Panteleimonas. The name Acharavi consists of the Greek words Achari Hebe meaning "ungracious life/youth". Originally it was called Hebe and was an ancient Greek city, possibly named after the daughter of Zeus, Hebe. The city was destroyed in 32 BC by the Roman Emperor Octavian and was thus renamed from the city of life "Hebe" into the city of "Ungracious Life" Acharavi. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, its village was mainly rebuilt
You can reach Corfu by international flights reaching the airport of Corfu (CFU) “Ioannis Kapodistrias”, then by driving 37km you could reach Mr & Mrs White Corfu. We would be delighted to assist you by arranging your transfer from the airport to our property.
Besides the showcase main town and a handful of museums, there are waterparks, riding stables, scuba centres (at Paleokastrítsa, Aharávi and
Nissáki), old castles to clamber over, villages to explore, and hiking.
Kérkyra’s old quarter, with its arcades facing the Spianáda (Esplanade), its pastel-hued multi-storeyed dwellings, peaceful squares and slatted Venetian-style shutters, was clearly the basis for the Unesco ranking, and amply rewards any time spent strolling. The Andivouniótissa (Byzantine) Museum in Mourágia district (Tues–Sun 8.00am–2.45pm; €4) is a medieval church crammed full of unusual icons of the 15th to 18th centuries, many of them painted by refugee Cretan artists who came here after the fall of Venetian Crete in 1669.
